Death of a Climate Bill: The Comic

by Ben Jervey

January 6, 2011

Grist just published a comic—written by lovable wonk Dave Roberts—about Congress's futile, feckless, two-year attempt to pass climate change legislation. It's a great bird's eye overview, and if you know nothing at all about the slow, inglorious death of the climate bill, I'm calling it mandatory reading.

For all the gruesome, agonizing, infuriating details of the Senate's failure to pass a bill, read Ryan Lizza's incredible 10,000 word deep dive for The New Yorker that ran last October. It's a true feat of insider political reporting, and I'm calling it mandatory reading for anyone who really wants to understand climate politics.
