Creeping into Your Dessert: The Versatile Avocado

In the rush to devour this wonderful fruit, most people only serve avocados raw and in the opening dishes of a meal–more often than not in guacamole or salads. A recent post on Tastespotting's blog encourages cooks to experiment with reserving avocados for the end of the meal by incorporating them into baked desserts. With recipes like "Chocolate Avocado Pistachio Cake with California Avocado Crème Anglaise," it might be worth the wait.
