On February 17th, 2013, approximately 50,000 people gathered in Washington, D.C. to tell President Obama to take a stance on climate change. The Forward on Climate Rally was the largest convergence of environmental protest this country has ever experienced. They came from everywhere. Members of the Sierra Club, 350, NRDC, Hip Hop Caucus, and Occupy Sandy were joined by entire college campuses, moms, dads, toddlers, and hipsters. The message we sent was a clear and urgent one: We must, as a nation, transition toward a clean energy economy. Because, as the saying goes, there is no planet B.
