The Pope visited Spain this weekend, and spent some time denouncing the traditionally Catholic country's liberal attitudes toward gay marriage and abortion. Some gay Spainards decided to protest Benedict XVI as he travelled through Barcelona in the Popemobile, and they protested in a rather ingenious way. One hundred gay and lesbian couples held a kiss-in along the Pope's route. There is no word on whether the Pope saw the gay canoodlers.
Because I don't speak Spanish, I can't find the Facebook group where this protest was organized (and where there might be more pictures). Can anyone help?
