GOOD 100: Meet Leni Zumas, Putting the Human Condition on Paper

July 13, 2013

Leni Zumas is an author and professor who, through her short stories and novel, paints a darkly humorous picture of the human condition. Author of the story collection Farewell Navigator (Open City, 2008) and the novel The Listeners (Tin House, 2012), Zumas is also an assistant professor of Creative Writing at Portland State University. Her stories have been featured in The New Orleans Review, Quarterly West and the New York Tyrant, and The Listeners was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award.

We can't wait to see what she writes next.
