As the winner of the Green Side of Business program, presented by GOOD and UPS, San Francisco's DODOcase was awarded $10,000 to to invest in sustainability efforts. A manufacturer of handmade book covers for tablets, the company mixes old and new by employing traditional bookbinding techniques to make covers for the latest tablets like iPads and Kindles.
With the help of green business consultants, co-founder Craig Dalton, COO Mark Manning, and the rest of the DODOcase team evaluated where they were and how to get where they wanted to go. They created plans to improve their material sourcing and factory processes. So how did they do? Check out our series chronicling their adventures and watch our newest video to see what it takes for one business to become more sustainable, inside and out.
