Nathan Yau at FlowingData has used the FDA's recently released data about product recalls in the United States to create an interactive infographic that shows you how many food and drug recalls there have been in the last year, the most common reasons for recalls, and who the offending companies are. Salmonella contamination is the leading reason for a recall. "Undeclared peanuts" is the seventh.
