Intermission: TED Meets Improv Everywhere

by Julie Ma

March 15, 2012

It all looks so real: the audience, the speaker from a small startup in the "solar technology business," and even the talk's title, "Unexpected Discoveries." But as the speaker comes upon his first slide, Mac's rainbow cursor, affectionately called the "Spinning Beach Ball of Death," eats the screen. Then after some horrifying error sounds and the audience's sympathetic laughter, the real show begins. Watch what happens when acting troupe Improv Everywhere and TED pull a prank on an unsuspecting audience.
