Need More James Franco in Your Life? There's a College Class on Him

February 3, 2011
It's shaping up to be the year of James Franco. He's on the cover of the February issue of Vanity Fair, he's hosting the 83rd Annual Academy Awards with actress Anne Hathaway, and he has a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his portrayal of climber Aron Ralston in 127 Hours. But if that's not enough Franco for you, he's also designing a college course on, well, himself.

"Master Class: Editing James Franco...with James Franco" will be offered by Columbia College Hollywood. Unfortunately, not just anybody can sign up for the course. Only 12 of the best editing students at the private film school will be selected to participate.

Once they're in the class, students will be tasked with creating "a 30 minute documentary film from videographic footage from Mr. Franco’s own unorthodox career." Essentially, it'll be a film about James Franco made from behind the scenes footage of James Franco.

Added bonus for the lucky 12: Franco will check in with students via Skype, and when his schedule allows, he'll show up for the weekly class.
