Project: Take a Picture of Something Repurposed

by Hillary Newman

February 18, 2011

It's time for another crowdsourced Picture Show. And we need your help. This time around, we want you to capture something repurposed.

the THEME
We're interested in how objects serve different purposes. Maybe it's an empty jar turned cup. Or tree stump tuned stool. Newspaper turned wrapping paper. Old tire turned swing. You get the idea. We trust that you will get creative with this assignment.

the OBJECTIVE
We strive to extend the life cycle of the products we use here at GOOD. Take a picture of an item that you have converted into something new.

the REQUIREMENTS
Please submit your photo and short explanation (up to 40 words) on the significance of the image for you here. It can be in any image format, but it should be high enough resolution that it can be printed at 300 dpi. We’ll take submissions now through Monday, February 28. Then we'll publish a Picture Show with a selection of the submissions.

Once we receive the images, we will turn to you, the GOOD community, to choose the winning submission. The winning entry will be announced on GOOD.is, featured on our homepage, and printed in the next issue of GOOD. We’ll also send a GOOD T-shirt and a free subscription (or gift subscription) to the winner.
