Representative Doesn't Care About Climate Change Because It's Not in the Bible

Representative John Shimkus (R-IL) wants to be the head of the committee that deals with climate change in the next Congress. Shimkus believes that our climate is changing, but he isn't concerned. That's because in Genesis, God promises that he won't destroy the Earth again after the great flood. Shimkus has actually read this passage aloud in a Congressional hearing. In fact, the congressman is actually pretty excited about the benefits of climate change, like a new Northwest passage. Shimkus is not concerned, however, that climate change may result in another great flood.
