The GOOD Cities Issue Party: June 1 in a City Near You

by Alissa Walker

May 24, 2011

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, June 1.
Next: Get yourself a copy of the latest issue (still on newsstands), or peruse the content online and decide what you want to talk about. Remember that the focus of the issue is looking at the urban environment through the lens of Los Angeles. Maybe you'll discuss one of the articles focusing on global issues like water, traffic, or education. Maybe you'll talk about what problems you're facing in your own community. What can you learn from L.A.? What does your city do better? We're excited to see what you come up with, as long as you're using the issue as a jumping off point for great conversations about the future of where you live.

Finally, send us your photos and recaps of your GOOD Cities Issue Party. Email them to alissa[at]goodinc[dot]com and we'll include them in an online slideshow. If you're an organizer, and you need a copy of the latest issue, hit us up at that email address and we'll send you one.

For those of you in Los Angeles, we're meeting Wednesday, June 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the awesome lending library and bookstore Libros Schmibros in Boyle Heights. You can read more about the store and its founder, David Kipen, right here. Afterward we'll head to one of the many (many, many) fantastic restaurants in the neighborhood for tacos and drinks.
