Winner Announced: GOOD's Crowdsourced Street Art Exhibit

by Zak Stone

April 10, 2011

We asked the GOOD community to submit photos of their favorite works of street art and vote for the best submission. The votes have been tallied, and our readers chose GOOD community members Olga Cano and Dario Gonzalez's picture of a building-sized boom box in Miami.

As they wrote in their submission, the artist "Sonni has playfully painted the two-level abandoned building, including fallen pieces... The familiar aesthetic of a boom box allows the community to identify with the art." Sonni's piece "BoomBox" was originally created for the annual art show Art Basel Miami Beach, and photos of the process are available on the artist's blog.

Congratulation, Olga and Dario! The two win a GOOD T-Shirt and a year-long subscription to GOOD Magazine.
