You're Invited: The Feast's Salon on Education Innovation

by Amanda M. Fairbanks
November 5, 2010

The Feast was started two years ago by a group of people who wanted to create a community that lived at the intersection of creativity, entrepreneurship, and social change and who also wanted to have fun while doing it. Or, as Michael Karnjanaprakorn, one of its founders, recently explained to me: "Because doing good shouldn't feel like a chore."

If you're in New York, please join me the morning of Friday, November 19, at the Soho House, where I'll be hosting The Feast's first education salon, and talking with Diana Rhoten, of Startl, and Brian Fitzgerald, of Knewton, about reinventing education through technology and innovation. Tickets and more information can be gotten here.

And if you haven't done so already, be sure to check out Tony Wagner, a former high school teacher who now directs Harvard's Change Leadership Group. He recently spoke at The Feast about the rise of a new movement edupreneurs and it's totally worth your time.
