When girls aren't well-represented in school, does the gender gap trickle into adulthood?Equal access to education for girls and boys provides the foundation for all other targets for developing nations. This is a look at the ten countries with the least equitable education systems and how that disparity extends into the workplace and even into the halls of government. (In the United States, boys and girls have equal access to education, women earn 62 percent of what men earn, and only 16 percent of Congress is female.)
