Re:Form School is "a group art exhibition and event series, bringing together hundreds of artists to send a loud message that the time has come to fix our ailing public education system." Its big event is this weekend in New York City, with artists exhibiting pieces designed to push forward new thinking about fixing America's schools.
It's being supported by Bing's education platform, Redu (where you can find some of GOOD's education content), and is spearheaded by Obama campaign worker Yosi Sergant (also famous for the politicized NEA controversy of last year). There are some great artists creating great pieces (including work by Neighborhoods issue guest art director Keith Scharwath) and we're super excited about it. You can watch some videos they made here.
The main event will take place this Saturday, October 9th, 2010 through Monday, October 11th, 2010 between the hours of 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at 233 Mott Street in New York. We have some behind the scenes photos of the artists getting ready for the event. Check them out.
