The underlining questioning within much of my photographic practice, documents my spatial relationship to the often confrontational urban landscape.
I was born in Colombia in 1971, I spent my childhood between Colombia and Venezuela. I studied graphic design and photography in Colombia. I moved to North America in 2001 to improve my design and photography skills, I first lived in New York City then in Montreal, Vancouver, Los Angeles and later moved back to Montreal. I have exhibited my photographic work in both Colombia and Canada.
I received my first camera at the age of 11, a Kodak Instamatic 110 that I used for a couple of years. The next camera was a Russian brand called Zenith, it seemed like an army tank, then a 35mm Ricoh that I still use. In 2001, I bought my first digital camera, right now I am shooting mostly digital; however, I enjoy the immediacy of analogue photography.
